*** is looking for a Microelectronics Technician 2 to support our molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) department. As a member of the MBE department you'll work alongside material science engineers and equipment support engineers. This position will serve on-site at the Space Park campus, on the Manhattan Beach, CA side.
Responsibilities:
• Use characterization systems to analyze wafers for Engineering review.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School diploma
• Able to lift 30-40 pounds
• Computer-literate
• Ability to use Client Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Semiconductor Wafer handling
• Cleanroom experience

Job Details and Requirements Section What is the scope of work/project for this position? Semiconductor wafer handling and wafer analysis. Is this new position or a backfill? New Who is the customer (internal/external)? Both What is the size of the group this position will be supporting? 8 technicians; 12 engineers What is the technical environment? Cleanroom + semiconductor machines. Describe work environment / team culture? Team oriented and able to multitask. Techs and engineers are very friendly and patient. Based on the job description what does a typical day look like? Start up systems being used for the day. Perform daily calibrations. Run tools for the day's task. Learn/practice on any new tools that were recently acquired. What is the training process for this role? Will train with both experienced technician and supporting engineer.
