OVERVIEW:
The Network Engineer will perform network design, engineering and troubleshooting support for classified programs. Responsibilities include LANs/WANs/Site-to-site, VPNs/Point-to-point/point to multipoint and maintaining network availability for servers, storage and backup systems. Troubleshoot port security issues, VLAN issues and network outages. Control network management activities, data flows and firewall rules.

CLEARANCE:
The Network Engineer will perform network design, engineering and troubleshooting support for classified programs. Responsibilities include LANs/WANs/Site-to-site, VPNs/Point-to-point/point to multipoint and maintaining network availability for servers, storage and backup systems. Troubleshoot port security issues, VLAN issues and network outages. Control network management activities, data flows and firewall rules.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Build network topologies to deliver content from specific providers to users
- Design, implement or maintain networks for LAN and WAN systems
- Provide engineering designs, and plans for installation, integration, testing, upgrade, analysis, and maintenance/expansion of the network environment.
- Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and design documents in support network upgrades and new mission requirements.
- Part of a team that may need work schedule flexibility in support team providing on-site coverage of 5 day x 12 hours/day operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field
- Certification:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
- 8570 compliance (IAT Level 2) such as CompTIA Security +
- This position requires 9 years of hands-on experience and expertise Cisco Network Administration or Network Engineering, including 2 years of hands-on experience supporting CentOS/RHEL Linux Systems.
- Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Firewalls.
- Understand the operation of network protocols and Firewall packet and proxy filters
- Experience leading classified network architecture, design, and documentation
- Experience with virtual systems, Rubric, and/or VX-Rail
- Must demonstrate strong teamwork, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills.
- Must demonstrate strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree
- Certification and/or Experience with AWS cloud
- DoD or Intelligence Community IT and Application service delivery.
- Experience supporting full lifecycle A&A process for classified DoD or IC infrastructure and application service delivery.
- Experience managing ATO process through XACTA tool.
- Experience working with Special Access Programs (SAP) •
- Hands on Experience with VDI hosting and virtualization with VMWare and/or Nutanix
- Experience working with cross domain solutions
- Experience working with crypto devices
CLEARANCE:
- Top Secret minimum with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph clearance.
