Intelligence Technical Targeting SME

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

Cherokee Preting is seeking an Intelligence Technical Targeting (ITT) SME to support USSOCOM. The ITT SME will provide comprehensive assessments of multiple types/sources of intelligence data and support the F3EAD Targeting Cycle to answer intelligence questions and provide recommendations for further action or collection.

Intelligence Technical Targeting SME Responsibilities Include:
  • Provides comprehensive assessments of multiple types/sources of intelligence data and support the F3EAD Targeting Cycle to answer intelligence questions and provide recommendations for further action or collection.
  • Uses multiple analytic fields and applies each intelligence discipline to solve complex problems.
  • Uses targeting networks or individuals within networks and identifies vulnerabilities for exploitation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Intelligence Technical Targeting SME Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Current Top-Secret clearance and SCI adjudicated.
  • Ten (10) or more years of operational analysis in their analytical field and five (5) years of experience in a managerial level position in support of special operations and combat overseas tours with a SMU and or SOF in an operational environment providing a direct analysis support function. Minimum of two (2) years of experience exploiting large datasets, combining data with rules, algorithms, and layering with other data types to determine future possible outcomes, applicability to assigned target sets, and implementation of data.
  • Highly proficient in utilizing current intelligence applications, tools, and databases to support target development, analytical efforts, and product development.
  • Advanced skillsets with the F3EAD Targeting Methodology to include broad knowledge of additional intelligence disciplines and significant demonstrable experience in their field capable of leading analytical efforts culminating in products.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the Intelligence Cycle, HVI Targeting, Social Network Analysis, Patterns of Life Analysis and one or more of the following areas: Human Factors Analysis, Human Terrain Analysis, SIGINT Targeting, Convergence Analysis, and Intelligence training.
  • Possess excellent briefing skills.
  • Comprehensive background and firsthand experience in in Regional Analysis, Geo-Political Analysis, HUMINT/SIGINT/GEOINT Analysis, Collection Management, and Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE).
  • Experience in directing subordinate analysts in accomplishment of intelligence products and assessments.
  • Expert knowledge of SOF and/or CT intelligence is required.
  • Must possess a valid US passport.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements including a medical, dental, psychological, background, credit, and security screens as deemed necessary to be considered deployable.
  • Must be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary by the contract.
  • Ability to maintain global readiness and be available to deploy on a no-notice basis to hazardous duty/combat zones.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
