Aquila is seeking a Software Developer t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Software Developer will Develop real-time, embedded software components of a complex communication system. Work collaboratively on software development team to meet program milestones

What You Will Bring: Education/Experience: BS and 5 years of directly related experience OR MS (candidate straight out of school with MS who meets the requirements may be considered). 5+ years of object-oriented software development experience. Degree ideally would be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

There are a few requirements for the position:
- Must be a U.S Citizen- Must have a Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)
Required Skills:
- Familiarity and experience developing with real-time, embedded operating systems or experience developing with resource constrained systems and low level Linux in addition to POSIX-compliant application layer programming.
- Experience with C, C++ and object-oriented development
- Experience with software lifecycle processes and their associated tools, such as software modeling with Uni?ed Modeling Language (UML), revision control, and issue tracking
- Experience interfacing with firmware components (FPGAs)
- Experience with communication signal processing and protocols
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in development for resource constrained platforms.
- Familiarity with MATLAB.

- 8 years Radio Communications Concepts (software-defined radios, MAC, physical layer, RF
- 8 years C/C++ Programming
- 8 years Object Oriented Software Design and Development
- 8 years Software Design/Development
- 3 years Experience with Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX)
- 3 years Experience with software modelling and the Uni?ed Modelling Language (UML)
- 5 years Revision Control Software such as GIT, SVN, Maven or Gradle, GITlab, Make / Autotools
- 5 years Embedded System Development
- 5 years Linux Environment
