We are seeking a Policy Writer to support a high-profile Department of Defense (DoD) mission. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, analyzing, and refining policies related to Special Access Programs (SAP). Your expertise in policy research, technical writing, and document development will help shape critical DoD initiatives.
This is an on-site position in Arlington, VA. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategy, doctrine, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Write and edit a range of documents, including DoD policy drafts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, guides, and reports.
- Conduct policy research related to SAP and other secure programs, ensuring the correct application of DoD references and technical terminology.
- Organize and structure content to meet readability, conciseness, and formatting standards.
- Establish and maintain editorial standards and document organization.
- Work with client Front Office teams to develop a consistent style and language across SAP-related communications.
- Manage the schedule, assignments, and meetings related to document development and submissions.
- Enhance the quality and usability of documents through graphical updates and formatting improvements.
What You'll Bring:
Required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance (mandatory).
- Bachelor's degree required (Four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Minimum of five (5) years of policy experience in a related field.
- Strong expertise in policy development, technical writing, and editing.
- Ability to operate with independence and creativity in problem-solving and methodology development.
- Experience contributing to deliverables and performance metrics.
- U.S. citizenship required (No dual citizenship due to contract requirements).
- On-site position in Arlington, VA (Candidates must reside within a commutable distance).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with DoD Special Access Programs (SAP) or similar secure programs.
- Background in policy development within DoD or the Intelligence Community (IC).
