Responsibilities
Arcfield is looking for a Security Engineer to join our team to establish and maintain awareness of multi -faceted security areas as it applies to Sponsor's research vectors. The selected candidate will provide technical security support and evaluations of research activities. The candidate will assist with the implementation, and maintenance of compartmented data.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation. Responsibilities
Arcfield is looking for a Security Engineer to join our team to establish and maintain awareness of multi -faceted security areas as it applies to Sponsor's research vectors. The selected candidate will provide technical security support and evaluations of research activities. The candidate will assist with the implementation, and maintenance of compartmented data.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct technical assessments
- Research, identify and evaluate vulnerabilities posed by research goals, approaches, and personnel
- Provide background, scope and equity interest for relevant research areas
- Identify risks and provide recommendations and mitigations addressing export controls, intellectual property, and classification
- Evaluate Contract Data Classification Guides (CDCGs) to assess accuracy
- Provide program security and analytical support for control system data, and higher order classification concerns that may span physical and IT security
- Support periodic reviews, maintenance of security records, and coordination with other teams to ensure holistic execution of security frameworks.
- Support security administrations and engagements with IC, USG and international partners
- Create and update research technology program focused briefings, SOPs and manuals
- Become aware and knowledgeable of other security areas' business processes and activities, and foster best practice sharing/implementation
- Provide pre-publication, classification, security, and acquisition activity reviews of technical documents prior to publication
- Attend program events and partner engagements
- Create export control, security, risk, and vulnerability documentation/CDRLs for each research vector
Qualifications
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree (or 3/+ equivalent experience) in a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years' experience
- Demonstrated experience in formulating and evaluating research initiatives and activities
- Experience conducting security reviews
- Demonstrated experience in Risk Assessments document that identify security, counterintelligence, and protection requirements for research efforts
- Prior experience conducting Performer Vulnerability Assessments to include level of foreign ownership/influence, business activities, and financial concerns, etc.
- Experience supporting and updating Export control assessments that identifies actual or potential deliverables that may be export controlled
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience coordinating and working action items to completion
- Proven ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starter
- Experience providing senior leadership with carefully reviewed and researched as related to requirements for planning purposes
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook)
