This position reports directly to the Vice President of Intelligence Services and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The X6 Business Development (BD) Manager is accountable for Business Development and Capture Management Process for the X6 Directorate. Responsibilities include targeting new opportunities, researching and networking the opportunities to advise the SLT in our capture process. The focus of the targets will be new business markets or new contracts in existing markets that follow Quantech's line of business. The BD Manager will also support the Strategic Planning & Proposal process (supports the Planning & Development Team), transitional support (supports the X and HR Teams), and advisor on corporate initiative, mentoring, and corporate taskings.
Job Responsibilities:
Capture Management/Business Development: Implement, execute and monitor the Capture Management processes across the company.
Specifically, this job will:
• Identifies and validates new opportunities by researching industry markets by attending related events, reading publications, reviewing announcements; tracking information online (Input), and networking information. Then tracking and presenting these opportunities to the SLT
• Recommends investments required for business development opportunities to include resources (employees/tools and acquisitions of businesses)
• Presents the Bid/No Bid briefing with related execution known as X-Team to the SLT
• Supports the Team Building process to capture a new contract and helps screen potential business partners
• Supports the proposal strategy sessions to win, writing, and reviewing
• Maintains Quantech strategic alliance relationships with both small and large businesses. This includes regular phones and business meetings to align corporate initiatives
• Facilitates the business deals to team in new markets. Supports X-Teams in existing markets as required in business development, proposal preparation and marketing
• Develops negotiating strategies and positions with execution and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Updates job knowledge by participating in client events/opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
• Enhances Quantech's reputation in the industry
• Assists in strategic plan development and reporting
Competencies:
Minimum of 20 years of Professional experience with increasing responsibility levels. Extremely detail oriented with the ability to solve problems and recommend solutions. Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to balance multiple conflicting priorities and strong time-management skills. Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships. Ability to interface with all levels of management and functional experts. Proven leadership abilities. Displays a high level of initiative and independent thinking. Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites as required. Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Education Required: BS/BA, or Equiv. MBA desired.
Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum of 20 years of total work experience with at least 10 years of related industry experience. Years of relevant experience preferred in the area of Quantech's Business areas
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with Polygraph required
