Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring Structural Design Engineers for advanced aircraft development programs located in Hazelwood, MO .
BDS Proprietary programs, develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced, and Senior Structural Design Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
(Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
(Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Experienced, level 3): $90,100 - $121,900

- Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design
- Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
- Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

- (Level 3) 5+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work related experience with a Master's or work related experience with a PhD
- (Level 4) 9+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor's or 7+ years of work related experience with a Master's or 4+ years of work related experience with a PhD
- Minimum 2+ years experience with 3D solid modeling software applications (e.g. NX, Catia, CADD)
