Senior BPR Specialist

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) Specialist to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This role focuses on driving business process improvements, supporting experimentation and concept development, and informing strategic decisions through expert analysis and collaboration with senior military and civilian leaders.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and improve business and operational processes to enhance Futures capability and concept development for DLA operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute experiments, wargames, seminars, and studies, including support to Sustainment Battle Lab, Joint Army, and multinational service experiments.
  • Facilitate and participate in seminars, meetings, workshops, working groups, and assessments related to DLA equities in joint concepts.
  • Draft official documentation such as directives, policies, analytical support plans, external experiments, mission-related studies, exercise-related orders, and senior-level briefings, ensuring alignment with Agency and DoD communication standards.
  • Integrate process changes with existing systems, communicating updates to impacted business systems teams and recommending quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide expert analysis and reporting from experiments, simulations, and logistics exercises to inform senior decision-making and future operational strategies.
  • Support Joint Capability Identification and Development System (JCIDS) processes by offering expert advice and recommendations.
  • Host and facilitate meetings and working groups to coordinate internal and external requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead or contribute to training event design, planning, and execution, with a focus on strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Shape strategies, develop plans, analyze data, and align goals to support Agency and DoD objectives.
  • Coordinate plans between internal and external staff agencies to ensure coherent execution of initiatives and milestone completion.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Undergraduate degree required; Graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5+ years in BPR (Business Process Re-engineering), business analysis, global planning, business strategy, capabilities development, and business process re-engineering roles.
    • Prior experience at US Army CASCOM and/or the US Army Futures Sustainment Battle Lab at Fort Lee is highly preferred.
    • Proven experience with training event design, exercise planning, and logistical support.
    • Strong understanding of strategic projects involving requirements development, implications analysis, and process management.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities with a demonstrated capacity to anticipate future trends and challenges.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience developing professional briefings and reports for senior (GO/FLAG) level officers and senior civilian leaders.
    • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Ability to identify and resolve challenges at a strategic level and work collaboratively across diverse teams.
    • Persuasion and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead change management efforts and convey complex ideas to both technical and business stakeholders.


Salary Range: There are various factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $135,000 - $150,000.
