Position Overview
Vadum is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize critical business functions, including pipeline management, CRM administration, proposal coordination, and contract management supervision. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive efficiency, ensure seamless collaboration across teams, and support Vadum’s growth in cutting-edge technology and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & CRM Management
Oversee and manage the business development pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
Administer and optimize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to maintain data integrity and facilitate team-wide visibility.
Provide insights and reports on pipeline health, win/loss analysis, and strategic business trends.
Proposal & Contract Oversight
Lead and coordinate proposal development, ensuring timely, high-quality, and competitive submissions.
Supervise the contracts department, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and efficient contract execution.
Work closely with Business Area Managers, Chief Engineers, and Program Managers to align proposals with Vadum’s strategic goals and customer needs.
Commercialization & Transitioning Products to Market
Assist in the commercialization process for transitioning technologies from R&D to real-world applications.
Partner with leadership team to identify scalable production, licensing, and market entry strategies.
Collaborate with leadership team to align commercialization plans with strategic objectives.
Support technology transition by researching manufacturing, supply chain, and sales teams.
Collaboration & Process Optimization
Partner with Business Area Managers, Program Managers, and Finance teams to streamline operations and enhance business performance.
Support business process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, particularly in government contracting environments.
Establish and maintain proper relationships between customers, teaming partners, and vendors.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a relevant discipline.
5+ years of experience in operations management, business development, or a related field.
At least 3 years of managerial experience.
Proven track record in pipeline management, CRM administration, proposal coordination, and contract oversight.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UnaNet or similar ERP/CRM systems.
Experience in defense, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors.
Experience with government contracting (FAR, DFAR, SBIR/STTR).
Background in engineering or technical fields, particularly within RF, machine learning, AI, Computer Vision and/or electro-mechanical systems.
Knowledge of commercialization strategies, including licensing, technology transfer and transition of R&D products to market.
