The Opportunity:
As an AFRICOM Counter-Uncrewed System (C-UXS) Planner, you will provide planning and analysis support to assist the geographic combatant command, its Components, and its subordinate commands in meeting its strategic and campaign objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • As the AFRICOM C-UXS Planner, you will provide C-UXS expertise as part of the AFRICOM J34 Force Protection and Mission Assurance Division and in coordination with other AFRICOM Staff elements, Service Components, and other relevant interagency and foreign partners.
  • This role supports the Campaign and Operational Planning function of the AFRICOM IAD Branch by producing joint planning documents such as C-UXS plans, annexes, policies, and orders, as appropriate.
  • As the AFRICOM C-UXS Planner, you will participate in cross-functional Joint Planning Groups and Organizational Planning Teams, as required.
  • You will participate in and apply the Joint Planning Process.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating with service components and other defense and interagency partners, as required, to ensure timely information sharing regarding UXS trends, analysis, and planning requirements.
  • You will also support C-UXS training events or delivery of training as well as conferences with Partners.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related military experience; OR 15 years of directly related military experience.
  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.


Desired:
  • Prior experience working in Africa or at AFRICOM or at one of its Service Components
  • Prior experience working SOF C-UXS programs.
  • Experience in Air Defense and/or air space management.
  • Attendance at the Joint C-UXS Academy or like institution
  • Experience and/or familiarity with the electromagnetic spectrum.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100 - 172,400 USD
