The Opportunity:

As a member of the system administration team, you will lead Windows and Linux administration to define and manage a domain supporting cyber R & D activities. You'll help to design and implement improvements to hardware and sof tware architecture and configurations, create and modify scripts used for system administration, and maintain and provide life cycle support for deployed systems, including troubleshooting issues, updating hardware and sof tware baselines, assisting with configuration control, and maintaining a reliable inventory. You will perform work on Windows systems, including imaging and management for both physical and virtual operating systems such as provisioning, configuration, patch and update management, and secure baseline management using SCAP tools and STIGs. You'll help customers overcome challenges by recommending improvements to existing components or processes, creating and maintaining documentation, and supporting the configuration management processes. You'll provide your customers insight into the network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement and communicate those needs with the team.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- Experience with administration, maintenance, and support tasks, including ensuring effective and efficient information technology (IT) system performance and security
- Experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining server and systems configurations, including hardware and software, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Experience with administering server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and performs systems monitoring
- Experience in consulting on network, application, and customer service issues to support computer systems' security and sustainability
- Experience in maintaining a systems cyber security posture, including scanning and remediation of cyber vulnerabilities
- Experience with performing risk analysis to identify threats, vulnerabilities and likelihood, and impact of exploitation
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering and 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
- IAT Level II Certification
