The DevSecOps Senior Engineer collaborates with software engineers to identify and implement security measures throughout the software development life cycle. This role is responsible for designing, testing, and enforcing secure software development practices and standards, integrating security features, identifying and mitigating security risks, implementing security controls, and monitoring emerging threats.
Responsibilities
- Work with software engineers to identify and implement critical security measures in the development process.
- Design, test, and enforce secure software development practices and standards.
- Integrate security features across the software development life cycle.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Configure and maintain security controls to safeguard software and network systems.
- Monitor and respond to security threats and risks.
- Support infrastructure and virtualization efforts, including integration and testing of vendor products, automation, and custom scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
- Perform network configuration, server administration, and application/desktop support.
- Provide lab support, including installation and configuration of Dell servers, NetApp storage appliances, VMware ESXi, vCenter Orchestrator, and vCenter Server.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (minimum: Bachelor of Science)
- Nine (9) years of directly traceable experience in:Configuring and maintaining network hardware, software, and systems, including:
- Cisco Call Manager, Vocality systems, Cisco routers and switches, Dell switches
- Cisco and Juniper Firewalls, Performance Enhancing Proxies
- Polycom and Tandberg VTCs, cryptographic equipment (KG175s, KG250s)
Desired Skills
- Fifteen (15) years of experience providing technical support to projects (e.g., ITN, ModRF, CTSO), including:
- Infrastructure and virtualization
- Integration and testing of vendor products
- Automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Network configuration, vulnerability assessment, and DevOps
- Information Assurance, Server and Network Administration
- Application and Desktop support
- Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter Orchestrator, vCenter Server, and NetApp storage appliances.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (Required).
