OVERVIEW

Caribou Thunder is seeking experienced Systems Integration and Verification (I&V) Engineers to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test planning, integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) of complex systems, including satellite command and control software, satellite payload sensor management, mission-specific software, and ground hardware/network control software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves working in an Agile environment, collaborating with software and integration engineers, and applying advanced concepts and principles to develop, test, and deploy mission-critical systems. The candidate must possess strong technical leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on expertise with automated testing tools and software development.
1. Develop test plans, test objectives, scenarios, and procedures for system integration and verification.
2. Perform integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) activities across multiple software and hardware platforms.
3. Work with automated test tools such as Selenium and Sikuli.
4. Contribute to the I&V lifecycle, ensuring efficient and reliable system testing.
5. Utilize tools such as DOORS and CAMEO for requirements management.
6. Work with C++ programming, including an understanding of Boost and Qt frameworks.
7. Utilize Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for system monitoring.
8. Develop and execute automated unit testing strategies.
9. Utilize CI/CD tools like Jenkins and work in a DevOps environment.
10. Interpret and implement software requirements for complex systems.
11. Operate in a Linux environment, ensuring compatibility with testing and development tools.
12. Apply knowledge and experience as an operator within relevant mission systems.
13. Leverage OPIR program experience/exposure to enhance system validation efforts.
14. Develop and execute scripting solutions using DXL and other automation tools.
15. Generate and execute automated testing code to ensure system functionality.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 14+ years of experience, or equivalent.
2. OR Advanced degree with 12+ years of experience.
3. Expert-level knowledge in integration and verification methodologies.
4. Strong background in software development, test automation, and CI/CD practices.
5. Hands-on experience with C++, SNMP, Linux, and automated testing tools.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle highly complex issues.
7. Ability to work independently and provide consultative guidance on mission-critical projects.
8. Leadership and mentorship experience in a technical environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

9. Senior consultant experience with 18+ years of experience (Bachelor’s) or 20+ years (equivalent experience).
10. Recognized expertise in system integration, verification, and mission-critical software development.
11. Experience planning and recommending R&D programs and long-term technological applications.
12. SBIRS and NGG knowledge along with a deep understanding of software development lifecycles.
