Mechanical Engineer

Key Role:

Applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Applies specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance. May review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with Troubleshooting and Heat Transfer
• Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Principles and Thermodynamics
• Ability to read, draw, and understand schematics and assembly drawings
• Ability to read and write technical manuals
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with US Air Force Aircraft, Test Systems, or Weapon Systems
• Knowledge of Electrical Systems
• Ability to follow established safety practices and requirements
• Ability to work outside of the box

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
