Position Summary:

Provide Nuclear Weapons Accountability Historical expertise. Requires demonstrated DoD nuclear weapons accountability experience. Must function independently or as a backup to Department Stockpile Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the DTRA Accountability Chief in managing and overseeing the DoD nuclear stockpile daily. Specific tasks include:
  • Maintaining and updating nuclear weapons history databases of weapons assigned to the Department of Defense.
  • Researching sources for data and transcribing them into databases.
  • Evaluating, validating, and verifying data.
  • Researching complicated historical discrepancies.
  • Generating nuclear history reports.
  • Responding to and updating changes to nuclear weapons classification policy.
  • Effectively communicate with senior leadership through briefings, presentations, written/verbal correspondence, and other means as necessary that can be understood at multiple levels.
  • Developing training materials for Stockpile Management and DIAMONDS processes and assisting the site visit team when Govt requests.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience with munitions accountability, nuclear weapons accountability, or DTRA stockpile management experience.
  • Experience using Defense Integration and Management of Nuclear Data Services (DIAMONDS) stockpile management modules.
  • Experience with database queries IT/software development may be considered a substitute for weapons accountability experience.
  • Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organized.
  • A Top-Secret clearance is required.
