VTG is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Associate Systems Engineer for hands-on technical position that will play an important role in development and deployment of the next generation tactical systems being deployed to US Navy customers.
This position is located in Manassas, VA. This position is a hybrid position with remote work options and flexible schedules.

VTG is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Associate Systems Engineer for hands-on technical position that will play an important role in development and deployment of the next generation tactical systems being deployed to US Navy customers.

What will you do?
- Bring in-depth knowledge of Systems Engineering design of electrical electronic monitoring, software, and control systems, requirements development and verification through test procedures generation and system testing.
- Work individually and lead small teams to prototype and develop and deliver several key systems being developed by the VTG team.
- Participate in cross-domain working groups to coordinate prototyping efforts, briefing results to senior engineers and managers in government and industry.
- Imaginative thinker with experience in all aspects of system engineering to conceive, develop and evaluate novel engineering solutions to address the unique requirements of the operational environment.
- Prototyping efforts span a broad spectrum of computer software and hardware technologies, including data management, networks, etc.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
- Proficient in guiding a project through the full system lifecycle.
- Proficient with Enterprise Architect, SysML and MBSE concepts.
- Experience with modeling tools such as MagicDraw or Cameo.
- Proficient in technical writing and use of MS Office products Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
- Articulate, excellent presentation skills.
- Acute attention to detail.
- US Citizen with current SECRET Clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- Expert in using MS Excel including writing formulas, linking data between tabs and sheets and writing scripts.
- Ability to lead System Level Reviews, SRR, PDR, CDR.
- Expert with Requirements Management Processes and Configuration Management.
- Familiar with Agile software development methodology, JIRA.
- Experience with S1000D.
- Existing SECRET clearance.
