Senior Network Engineer
Location: Virginia / Washington, DC (Primarily Remote, 1 Day On-Site Per Week)
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required
Pay: $110-$115 per hour - 1880 hours per year
My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team, supporting critical network infrastructure in a secure environment. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site work (one day per week) in the Virginia/Washington, DC area.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
Manage and optimize Cisco networking solutions, ensuring high availability and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and security requirements.
Provide guidance on best practices and emerging network technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Cisco certifications (CCNP or higher preferred).
Strong understanding of network security, routing, and switching.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
Additional security or cloud networking experience is a plus.
