As a Lead RF Engineer, you will design, develop, and test radio frequency (RF) and communications systems. You will demonstrate expertise in RF and electromagnetic principles, RF simulation tools, digital signal processing algorithms, or communications. You'll troubleshoot and solve complex RF system configurations. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams are crucial for this role.

- Design RF systems and networks, including cabling, switches, routers, and access points.
- Troubleshoot and test network components.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IP-based network technologies and applications.
- Design, debug, and test network management software and operating systems.
- Implement network security and device management systems.
- Manage complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop effective internal and external relationships.
- Use standard laboratory instrumentation for validation and troubleshooting.
- Perform analysis and modeling of complex RF systems.
- Drive solutions to complex problems by developing requirements and proposing ways forward.
- Provide insight and suggest design modifications based on analysis outcomes.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and teach best practices to less experienced engineers.
- Lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers.
- Deliver customer presentations that inspire confidence in our work.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Knowledge in at least one area:
- RF systems and architectures
- RF active and passive circuits (LNAs, filters, mixers, etc.)
- Fundamentals of electrical engineering (noise, linearity, stability, etc.)
- Electromagnetic concepts
- DSP algorithms design and implementation
- Digital communications theory and systems
- Proficiency with at least one set of tools:
- RF software tools (ADS, AWR, HFSS, or similar)
- MATLAB or Python
- Software Defined Radios tools
- Hands-on experience with RF measurement instrumentation (VNA, etc.)
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional management and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in RF or Communications Engineering.
- Exceptional prototyping skills with a hands-on approach to performance characterization and mitigation.
- Strong understanding of RF systems from antennas to digital baseband processing.
- In-scope Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required or the ability to obtain one.
