We are seeking skilled and experienced Systems Administrators (SA) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying new servers, maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure, and providing day-to-day support for troubleshooting. You will leverage your technical expertise to administer the full lifecycle of Linux and Windows platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day operations: Support IT systems, including monitoring, problem resolution, and ensuring the smooth operation of client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Problem Management: Analyze recurring problems and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Automation: Develop automations for building and patching Linux and Windows servers using Ansible Automation Platform. Utilize Ansible modules to monitor system health, identify issues, and implement automated remediation strategies.
• Compliance: Apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers and network devices.
• Collaboration: Interact with product owners across multiple teams and work with other engineers to troubleshoot problems across multiple systems and network environments.
• System Optimization: Optimize system operations and resource utilization, perform system capacity analysis and planning, and troubleshoot IT systems. Analyze existing infrastructure for tuning and performance enhancements.
• Configuration and Management: Configure and manage operating systems, install operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components. Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Communication: Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Switch Configuration: Manage switch configurations.
Basic Qualifications:
• Five (5) years' experience for a Systems Administrator 1 or Ten (10) years' experience for a Systems Administrator 2 in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Proficient in Linux (Preferably Rocky 8/9) and Ansible skills.
• Experience with switch configuration skills and experience applying STE/STN compliance requirements to servers.
• Experience with Latte Art.
• Experience with NetApp Storage.
• A TS/SCI with full scope polygraph is required.
