Position Description:
CGI has an immediate need for an AWS Python Engineer to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
This position is located in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting production systems for one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. Our long-term, trusted relationship with this client has resulted in a stable and innovative work environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Leads development efforts to assess and document current and target state high level existing processes and functional needs across the enterprise
- Work with the customers and other enterprise developers to formulate policies and plans that support the enterprise goals, implement efficient end to end processes and leverage use of existing IT assets.
- Align strategic goals and objectives with key business and IT initiatives
- Work to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, industry standard techniques and best practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
1. 8+ years of related experience in their specific area with experience leading teams on projects with similar scope and complexity
2. Experience with Desktop Automation using Python as well as development of Rest API's.
3. Expertise in AWS.
4. Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Oracle and Redshift).
5. Comprehensive understanding of modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
6. Expertise in designing solutions with Shift-Left approach and possess great experience with testing concepts (BDD,TDD,Unit,Regression,Synthetic).
7. Experience with use of Selenium or SauceLabs
8. Excellent verbal / written communication skills, relationship management skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
9. Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or relevant cloud certifications.
Desired Skillset
Knowledge of Angular
Knowledge of RPA tools like Blue Prsim
Familiar with Networking / Security Layers in AWS
Expertise in other cloud platforms (Azure or GCP) and container orchestration(Kubernetes).
Expertise in test automation implementation unit testing using pytest.
Education:
Bachelor's or master's in computer science or equivalent.
