About This Role:

The Intelligence Technical Editor will provide editorial support for all intelligence products, business management products, and correspondence requiring CENTCOM J2 executive approval. The Senior Technical Editor shall review intelligence products and correspondence for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, consistency, as well as layout alignment. Ensures that style and format conform to CENTCOM, DIA, and/or Intelligence Community publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields..

Responsibilities:
  • Provide editorial services and assist in verifying facts and content for all content.
  • Review/submit the final version of intelligence products.
  • Provide additional editorial support for the CENTCOM J2 and Executive Publication Directorate's executive and production needs as required to meet unanticipated contingency requirements.
  • Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
  • Amend draft tables, tone boxes and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
  • Work with authors to revise products for narrative organization and negotiate further revisions as needed.

The "Need-to-Have" Skills & Qualifications:
  • Intermediate - Expert experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience conducting/producting intelligence products
  • Understanding of DIA and/or DNI Tradecraft Standards
Professional Certifications:N/AEducation:Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related area
Clearance:Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Years of Professional Experience:
5+ years

The "Nice-to-Have" Skills & Qualifications:
  • Desired - DIA PACE or other All-Source Intelligence Analytical Course
  • Desired - 5+ years of experience conducting/producing intelligence products at the CCMD-level, CSA, or IC.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone or video teleconferences
