Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Business Operations Analyst to support and enhance the efficiency of business functions through data-driven analysis and strategic process improvements. This role will play a key part in evaluating operational performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, and ensuring business objectives align with overall organizational goals. Skills / Experience Required
Key Responsibilities and experience needed for the Business Operations Specialist:
* Current Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI
* 3 to 10 years demonstrated experience as a business operations specialist
* Ability to perform all functional duties independently
* Conduct in-depth analysis of business operations, identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
* Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and support data-driven decision-making
* Assess existing processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry best practices
* Collaborate with finance, HR, IT, and other departments to align operational initiatives with strategic objectives
* Provide data visualization and reporting support through tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel dashboards
* Assist in financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Lead process improvement initiatives, leveraging methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile where applicable
* Support business case development and impact assessments for proposed operational changes
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of business data by maintaining and validating key information systems
* Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and recommendations for leadership and key stakeholders
* Monitor industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes that may impact business operations
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in government contracting or federal programs
* Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma)
* Knowledge of ERP systems, CRM tools, or other business process management software
Education / Certifications
To qualify for the mid-level/journeyman Business Operations Analyst role you will need:
* A bachelor's degree is required; however, 6+ years of relevant work experience may be considered as a substitute of required experience OR an associate degree plus 4 years' work experience may be substituted by a bachelor's degree
* A master's degree (MA/MS) is preferred; however, a bachelor's degree plus 8 years' work experience may be substituted for a master's degree OR 12+ years of relevant work experience may be accepted in place of a master's degree
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is preferred
