Senior Cloud Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a Federal Program located in Lorton, VA . The Senior Cloud Engineer will support the Department of Defense by designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions that enhance operational efficiency and security.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• Perform the Enclave Administrator (EA) role, managing deployment and maintenance of Mission Enclave infrastructure and applications.
• Monitor system health, including Azure Solution System Health, application availability, and capacity management.
• Manage operational systems, handling trouble tickets by inputting, re-routing, fielding, and escalating as necessary.
• Conduct troubleshooting and remediation activities, coordinating with System Owners, Product Team, and Migration Team.
• Participate in planning sessions and technical presentations with customer project leads and staff, analyzing technical requirements to develop effective solutions.

Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

· 8+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on the cloud

· Experience with Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps tools such as Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, and CLI

· Must have active CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of hire

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry work experience

· Must have TS/SCI Clearance

Compensation for the Senior Cloud Engineer includes:

· Salary Range: $165,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
