Job Summary: We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Project Engineer to join our Air Dominance and Strike Flight Engineering team. This role facilitates Flight Engineering projects using systems engineering principles. Key responsibilities include overseeing design and development of flight systems/software, managing tool integrations (e.g., Jama, Cameo, GHE, Jira), conducting tests, maintaining requirements databases, communicating project status and impact, and ensuring compliance with standards. The position requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to optimize processes, manage costs, and liaise with stakeholders while driving quality control and risk mitigation efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Plan, define, and manage the scope of Flight Engineering projects using systems engineering principles.
  • Oversee the design and development of Flight Engineering systems and software, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensuring seamless integration to support development and project management workflows.
  • Managing and optimizing workflows and automations between, Jama, Cameo, GHE and Jira.
  • Collaborating with teams to align integration with project goals.
  • Providing training and support for effective use.
  • Coordinate task prioritization and manage the backlog of development work items.
  • Conduct systems-based tests and evaluations, resolving any issues or faults.
  • Maintain a requirements database and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Create and maintain project documentation and prepare progress reports.
  • Manage project costs within the allocated budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for systems engineering matters, liaising with stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks using systems engineering techniques.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure the final product meets required standards.
  • Continually seek improvements in processes and techniques.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in systems engineering, preferably in aerospace
  • A superpower for smashing through developer roadblocks
  • Proven experience with GitHub Enterprise, Jira, and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of integration tools, APIs, and workflows
  • Demonstrated project management and cost control skills
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace systems and industry regulations
  • Proficiency in requirements management software and aerospace design tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in managing development infrastructure and training technical teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to staying current with aerospace technology advancements
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A loathing for waterfall development but ability to talk with customers who expect projects to be run this way.
  • Experience in risk management and the ability to identify potential project risks and devise plans to mitigate them.
  • Current Active U.S. Top Secret clearance preferred
  • PMP certification.
  • Developing useful project automation in Python, Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience with DoD acquisition processes and standards.
  • An understanding of the distinctives and intersection of Lean Product and Process Development, Agile Software Development, and Lean Production
  • Familiarity with Set Based Design Principles


US Salary Range

$154,000 - $231,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
