Role Overview

The Lead Special Program Security Specialist (CPSO) will function as the Contractor Program Security Officer at GE Aerospace, Cincinnati, Ohio. This on-site role includes managing Special Access Program personnel, physical, and information security to protect classified information.
Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a security education, training, and awareness program, including indoctrinations, annual refresher training, debriefings, and event-specific training.
  • Conduct training sessions for large groups of personnel, showcasing proficient briefing skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interpersonal interactions, and professional oral and written communication.
  • Manage a document control system and conduct annual inventories; handle a visitor control program including visit certifications, visitor reception, and escorting.
  • Oversee a personnel security program, including security clearance initiation, recertification, and maintenance using Personnel Security Databases (e.g., JADE).
  • Coordinate with government customers, support offices, building management staff, and security/facility managers for facility-related issues, special events, and operating procedures.
  • Manage an information security program that includes the transmission, receipt, storage, and distribution of classified information and accountability of classified documents.
  • Specifically support Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test spaces.

Required Qualifications
  • DOD Secret Security Clearance (adjudicated within the last six years).
  • Ability to work in a high-tempo environment and manage work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with controlled environments and security policies.
  • Demonstrated customer support, interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • College degree and/or military experience preferred but not required (a combination of education, training, certification, and/or experience may be substituted).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
