Technology Scouting Analyst, Mid
The Opportunity:
Are you looking to help the Department of Defense ( DoD ) identify emerging technologies that might help develop the future joint force? As an experienced professional, you know that innovative technologies offer a range of applications that may influence future military capabilities. We are looking for someone like you to help a defense client identify promising near-term technology solutions to address complex DoD challenges.
As a Technology Scout, you will c ond uct detailed analyses of emerging technologies that may have military significance and identify game-changing technologies with commer cia l and defense applications for further investment. To aid senior defense leaders, you will prepare briefings, summaries, and papers describing the future technology landscape and areas of collaboration with the industry and partners.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in technology scouting and analysis for government or commer cia l organizations
- Experience writing both technical and non-technical summaries of emerging technologies
- Experience reviewing technical publications and summarizing key findings
- Knowledge of defense technology areas
- Ability to lead the day-to-day execution of technology assessment efforts, including analysis comparing alternatives, characterization and quantification of performance, and comprehension and development of requirements based on mission needs
- Ability to understand how a given technology works, and distill complex topics into core concepts understandable by general audiences
- Ability to c ond uct independent, self-directed research
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience in the application of technologies in c ond ucting test and evaluation
- Experience with research and development activities of future technologies
- Experience presenting findings to senior leaders or decision makers
- Ability to provide evaluation criteria for products to assess integration and viability
- TS / SCI clearance
- Master's degree
