MILSATCOM Systems Engineer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Systems Engineer to join a dynamic MILSATCOM team within the U.S. Space Force ( USSF ) . As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in sustaining a divers e portfolio of strategic MILSATCOM space systems and infrastructure, directly impacting the combat readiness of our space warfighters. This mid-level opportunity is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment and is passionate about tackling the challenges of complex, space-based telecommunication systems.

In this role, you will leverage your systems engineering and analysis expertise to support legacy space systems, including Air Force Command Post Terminal ( AFCPT ) , Family of Bey ond Line-of-Sight Terminal ( FAB-T ) , and Milstar Messaging System ( MMS ) . You will provide expert advice and engineering consult ation to our government customer, collaborate with various stakeholders, including the joint space warfighting community, and contribute to all aspects of system sustainment, from requirements development and technical solution generation to fielding and performance analysis. What You'll Work On:

  • Provide systems engineering and analysis expertise for legacy space systems such as AFCPT, FAB-T, and MMS.
  • Support sustainment tasks through established space systems engineering processes and procedures.
  • Engage with the joint space warfighting community and collaborate on sustainment activities.
  • Evaluate technical performance metrics and conduct trend analysis for NC3 systems.
  • Assist in technology readiness assessments and identify risks with proposed technologies.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with systems engineering
  • 5+ years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients
  • Knowledge of MILSATCOM and DoD mission system sustainment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, line drawings, and schematics
  • Ability to produce technical Statement of Works ( SOW ) , Bill of Materials, test plans, and procedures
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science


Nice If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering ( MBSE ) concepts and tools
  • Experience working in a multi-contractor environment
  • Knowledge of contracts development in support of SSC or CGM programmatics
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering with spe cia lization in Communications Systems
  • International Council on Systems Engineering ( INCOSE ) Certified Systems Engineering Professional ( CSEP ) Certification or higher
  • Project Management Institute ( PMI ) Project Management Professional ( PMP ) Certification


Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
