This is an exciting opportunity to work for the Gold Standard of Aviation and Aerospace companies in a fast paced challenging environment. The candidate, under supervision and with a team, will support Environmental Health and Safety operations for SNC's IAS Business Area located in Englewood, Colorado. This candidate should have knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and other safety related statutory requirements. Great skills at building trusting relationships are a must as the candidate will be working face to face with some of the greatest talent in the Aviation and Aerospace industry.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Responsibilities:
  • Managing life safety equipment to include inspections.
  • Ergonomic Assessments
  • Assist in EH&S Audits
  • Function as an EH&S business partner to assigned locations
  • Addressing safety concerns and implementing corrective actions
  • Assist with implementation of EH&S Programs
  • Assist with EH&S training
  • Assist with employee knowledge surveys
  • Assist with injury/incident investigations
  • Promote a positive proactive safety culture


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field of study and typically 0 - 2 or more years safety experience in aerospace, military, aviation, or general industry
  • Years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
  • Knowledgeable with a variety of occupational health & safety standards, EPA, OSHA, and NFPA regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct a job hazard analysis, site audits, and incident root cause analysis
  • Fluency with data capture, data analytics, spreadsheets, and presentation
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with DCMA INST 8210
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Construction Industry Safety Knowledge
  • Certifications, including Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST)


Estimated Starting Salary Range: $64,900.00 - $85,296.00. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
