Pay Range

$148,920 - $188,880

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Job Description

We have an opening for a Project Manager. You will support the Security and Protection (S&P) Program within the Security Organization. The S&P Program is responsible for managing the development, maintenance, and operations support of a physical security system at seven NNSA sites. The scope of work within the S&P Systems Engineering section will include leading and managing the operations of the Enterprise Assets Management (EAM) project consisting of physical security system equipment inventory, procurements, vendor and contract management, distribution, forecasting, analysis, quality assurance testing, and risk management. You will be the primary liaison between technical staff, customers, procurement, vendors, enterprise sites and sponsors.

You will
  • Communicate equipment, funding needs, and risk to S&P management and sponsor
  • Conduct data calls; perform analysis, forecast equipment needs, and identify risks
  • Develop equipment distribution plans, receive and execute shipments
  • Execute Enterprise Service Level Agreement (SLA) and integrate new equipment into inventory lifecycle
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are met, coordinate testing with technical team
  • Create and manage procurement submittals; represent program to Supply Chain Management and manufacturing vendors
  • Manage EAM funding, Strategic Partnership Projects (SPP) contracts, and inform S&P management of budgetary activities
  • Manage inventory lifecycle and sustain operations
  • Coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for equipment repair and/or replacement
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvement and cost-saving measures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Anticipated DOE Q clearance (requires U.S. citizenship and a federal background investigation)
  • BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced application and development of technical, business, or operational principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to independently contribute to technical projects or support of programs using creativity and innovation
  • Advanced experience and knowledge managing technical implementation projects with strong facilitation skills to foster collaboration amongst disparate technical stakeholders
  • Advanced verbal, written and presentation skills in communicating complex project information to team members, management, sponsor, and enterprise sites
  • Advanced situational awareness, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills necessary to team members, management, sponsor and enterprise sites
  • Advanced experience managing projects and developing & tracking performance metrics
  • Experience in LLNS funding process, budgeting and knowledge of financial systems
  • Ability to travel

Qualifications We Desire
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification
  • Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems or Physical Security systems
  • Knowledge of system engineering
