Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Test & Evaluation Engineer position that just opened in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will conduct testing and integration and developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related plus a minimum of 2 years of experience. Must have experience with one of the following skills: the AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems. An active Secret Clearance is required.
Location: Manassas, VA
Position: Test & Evaluation Engineer
Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct/permanent
Pay: $49.73/hour
Telecommute: Onsite
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities:
• Crafting comprehensive test procedures.
• Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
• Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.
• Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.
• Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities.
• Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities.
• Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures
Requirements:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
• Active Secret Clearance
• Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
• Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset.
• Experience with interfacing and integrating hardware devices, control, sim/stim, data acquisition, specifically with National Instruments Hardware like PXI, CRIO, CDAQ, etc.
• Must have experience with one of the following skills: the AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems.
