This position is for a Consulting Employee (CE) to join our team in Chantilly, VA as a Scrum Master. The team consists of highly motivated and skilled professionals working in an Agile environment. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a collaborative team environment to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of working with Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
The program includes teams operating across multiple time zones, requiring the candidate to have excellent communication skills and flexibility in working with cross-functional teams. A demonstrated ability to drive Agile best practices and coach teams to success is highly desired.

Pay Range: Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and best practices
- Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure backlog refinement and prioritization
- Identify and remove impediments to team progress
- Track and report team performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and SAFe
- Support Agile Release Train (ART) coordination efforts, if applicable
- Assist in risk management and mitigation strategies
- Facilitate communication between teams, stakeholders, and leadership
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related field and 15 years of experience OR
- Master’s degree in information technology, business, or a related field and 13 years of experience
- Must have a TS/SCI with Poly to be considered
- Active/current Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to track and analyze Agile metrics to drive improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well individually and within a team environment while maintaining professionalism with all stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification
- Experience working in a DevSecOps or Cloud-based environment
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools
- Experience supporting Agile transformations within large organizations
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile software development lifecycle
- Experience with Agile coaching at the team and enterprise levels
