Synertex LLC is seeking a Senior-Level Information Systems Engineer to provide A&AS support to the Architecture and Engineering Division to ensure the Command's IT architecture and engineered IT solutions meet or exceed documented requirements and are effective and suitable for USSTRATCOM.
This role is critical in assisting the Government decision-making processes on the best way forward for IT rationalization, modernization, and sustainment actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development of the USSTRATCOM C4-IT Roadmap supporting Life-Cycle Management and Technical Refresh planning efforts. This activity shall be executed in coordination with IT Service Managers utilizing requirements management and traceability processes to properly plan, scope, and budget for tech refresh, capability transition, and/or modernization efforts, ensuring each IT Service Area stays current.
- Assist Government Service Managers / Change Managers with drafting Statement of Objective (SOO) documents for engineering projects.
- Develop and deliver market research, Business Case Analysis (BCA), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), and Courses of Action (COA) that assists with decision-making processes for how emerging technologies can best be leveraged.
- Assist in developing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for IT engineering projects.
- Assist with the review, completeness, and assessment of impacts for all items in queue to meet the Change Advisory Board, as part of the formal change management process. Support technical solution reviews, change boards, and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) through technical comments, concerns, and recommendations to the Government Architecture & Engineering Team.
- Review IT test plans to ensure testing addresses all requirements and properly assesses effectiveness and suitability of the solution.
- Perform IT Service Management evaluations for assigned Knowledge Domain Areas (KDAs) utilizing existing technical documentation repositories, management tools, defined metrics, etc., and recommend areas for improvement. Recommendations shall be made available to the Government Leadership and the IT Service Managers.
- Create, upload, edit, and maintain supporting documentation (i.e.: technical drawings, configuration management database (CMDB) information, IGCEs, project lessons learned, etc.) on the SharePoint portal, file-share, or designated application / tools in support of future IT engineering projects, architecture reviews, IT Roadmap documentation efforts, etc.
- Assist with IT project closeout evaluations / Project Readiness Reviews (PRR) ensuring stated requirements and objectives are met.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience as an IT Systems Engineer (SE) with documented experience supporting SE Processes and associated Technical Processes which include: Requirements Tradeoff, Cost Estimation, Technical Assessments, Technical Planning, Configuration Control Boards, Capabilities Based Assessments, Integrated Baseline Review, Lifecycle Sustainment Planning, Information Assurance/Cybersecurity, Requirements Traceability, Statement of Objectives or Work, Systems Engineering Plan, Work Breakdown Structure, and Technical Audits.
Education:
- Master's degree in any engineering discipline or Computer Science may be substituted for three (3) years' of SE experience. A Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline or Computer Science may be substituted for one (1) year of SE experience.
Technical Skills:
- Senior-level specialized knowledge, skillsets, and experience in creating, sustaining, modernizing, and integrating Enterprise-wide Compute, Storage, and Backup solutions utilizing new techniques and software defined approaches for Infrastructure and Platform as a Service (IaaS / PaaS) structure.
- Contractor shall be experienced with current tools and technology supporting the management and operations of data processing, storage, and backup systems supporting USSTRATCOM infrastructure, business processes, and operations. An active intermediate or higher technical certification (i.e.: CompTIA Server+, International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP), Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Certified Storage Networking Expert, or similar Information Systems Engineering certification) shall be required.
