The ZBV Backscatter X-Ray program relies on knowledgeable technicians to perform scheduled/unscheduled security-related maintenance. AV Technicians conduct long term temporary duty (TDY) to the diplomatic mission in Iraq to inspect vehicles for safety and serviceability, perform fleet inventories and provide service to these vehicles ensuring constant availability. This position will also require but not limited to, reports to be gathered and disseminated on Backscatter training reports, routine maintenance reports, X-Ray usage reports, parts inventory, equipment inventory and radiation reports.

Supervises repair and maintenance of the vehicle chassis of all ZBV Backscatter X-Ray vehicles on site.

Supervises fleet inventories and serviceability inspections of ZBV Backscatter X-Ray equipment at Post.

Provides workload status updates and fleet issues to ZBV Backscatter Program Manager.

Coordinates execution of travel requirements with assigned Project Coordinator.

Acts as a liaison between Subcontractor technicians and Backscatter Program Manager.

Applies technical knowledge of mechanical principles to return vehicles to operational condition and solve complex problems.

Maintains an inventory of parts necessary for maintenance.

Initiates ordering of repair parts per policy

Overseas and advocates for a safe work environment; reports safety incidents as necessary

Leads Backscatter weekly report briefings with PM.

Provides expert input to HTP on end-user inquiries and Program initiatives.

Leads and participates in emergency and non-scheduled service calls

Travels to Baghdad, Iraq on long term TDY's

Must be willing to travel 80% of the year

Travel to include per-diem and allowable travel costs

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience or the equivalent combination of education/training and/or experience/military training performing field service maintenance on vehicles.

Mechanical aptitude.

Ability to lift more than 75lbs

Must be a U.S. Citizen, be able to obtain a U.S. passport, and maintain a SECRET clearance.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and mobile applications.

Travel required 80%; by air and ground vehicle.

Must be able to support a non-standard and flexible schedule that include on-call periods and short notice recalls.

Must possess a valid driver's license.
