5+ years of experience working in the field of analytics, big data and artificial intelligence
supporting infrastructure deployment, setup and configuration, ideally through automation.

• 2+ years of experience working with the Starburst tool suite. Ability to engage database
administrators, warehouse designers, warehouse developers and data scientists to utilize
this tool.
• Experienced in performance tuning Starburst to provide business critical functions.
• Very good knowledge of writing production-ready Starburst queries and operationalizing
Starburst connectors ensuring high availability and upgrade management. Extensive
knowledge of SQL query language.
• Knowledge of best practices for the Starburst environment in terms of security and
governance.
• Good understanding of Stargate and Starburst clustering.
• Very good knowledge of troubleshooting complex data environments, especially
environments with multiple heterogenous data sources.
• Good knowledge of warehousing and ETLs. Extensive knowledge of popular database
providers such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Teradata and others.
• Proficiency in technologies in the Apache Hadoop ecosystem, especially Hive, Impala and
Ranger
• Experience working with open file and table formats such Parquet, AVRO, ORC, Iceberg
and Delta Lake
• Extensive knowledge of automation and software development tools and methodologies.
• Excellent working knowledge of Linux. Good working networking knowledge.
• Ability to gain customer trust, ability to plan, organize and drive customer workshops.
Good communication skills in English is a must.
• The ability to work in a highly efficient team using an Agile methodology such as Scrum
or Kanban. Ability to have extended pairing sessions with customers, enabling knowledge
transfers in complex domains.
• Ability to influence and interact with confidence and credibility at all levels within the Dell
Technologies companies and with our customers, partners, and vendors.
• Experience working on project teams within a defined methodology while adhering to
margin, planning and SOW requirements.
• Ability to be onsite during customer workshops and enablement sessions.

Desirable Requirements and Skills
• General awareness of Dell Technologies products.
• In possession of relevant Starburst certification such as the Starburst Practitioner
Certification.
• Good Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization
• Experience using Lean and Iterative Deployment Methodologies.
• University Degree aligned to Big Data and/or Analytics is a plus.
• In possession of relevant industry certification
