Description

Manage and optimize the sourcing of goods and services while also focusing on vendor relationships, cost management, and operational efficiency. This role combines traditional procurement responsibilities with a proactive sales approach, driving new vendor partnerships and facilitating the company's purchasing processes.

Requirements

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Scout, cold call, and successfully close new vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with company goals. Maintain and enhance ongoing relationships through professional communication and strong service.
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Analyze and evaluate quotes received from vendors, preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for customers to achieve operational objectives.
  • Cost Management: Assist in the analysis of vendor pricing and negotiate the best terms to ensure cost-effectiveness. Track spending and optimize purchasing to stay within budget while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Market Trends and Product Recommendations: Observe market trends and leverage knowledge of target audiences to make recommendations for products, taking into account both budget constraints and customer needs.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the buying team, engineering team, and vendors to ensure smooth communication and alignment across all functions.
  • Contract and Purchase Order Management: Review, manage, and process contracts, purchase orders, and vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs to prevent shortages, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues promptly to maintain consistent quality and delivery schedules.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on procurement activities, quotes, vendor performance, and market insights to support decision-making.
  • Strong communication, negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of procurement and sales processes required to foster new business relationships while managing ongoing vendor performance and achieving cost and operational goals.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

1. Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance; Top Secret with investigation current within the last 5 years

2. On-site, no remote

Technical Environment: Microsoft, Linux, Splunk, Ansible, Tenable, GEMS
