We are looking for a self-sufficient, resourceful Marketing Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take initiative. This role is critical in supporting and driving internal communications, managing special projects, and producing high-quality proposals and marketing collateral. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to identify what needs to be done and execute it effectively. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.

Salary is commensurate with experience, range is $60-72k.
This position is expected to work in our Lombard office. Standard hours are Mon-Thurs 9hr days, and Fri 4hr day. Work from Home on Friday is standard. Professional flexibility is offered for work-from-home to handle personal one-off situations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Internal & External Communications:
- Develop and manage marketing content, newsletters, and press releases with minimal oversight.
- Maintain and update corporate branding across digital and print assets.
- Manage the company's SharePoint intranet and ensure information is up to date and engaging.
- Business Development & Proposal Support:
- Support the development of proposals, pre-qualifications, and marketing materials.
- Maintain a proposal calendar and ensure deadlines are met without reminders.
- Keep a content database (resumes, projects, etc) up to date.
- Marketing Collateral & Design:
- Create, update, and manage brochures, presentations, and advertising materials proactively.
- Independently design and order branded materials and maintain inventory.
- Take initiative in creating new, engaging graphics and marketing content to support business goals.
- Social Media & Digital Presence:
- Independently manage and grow social media accounts with creative, on-brand content.
- Keep the company website updated and optimized without needing oversight.
- Develop holiday messages and digital marketing campaigns based on company needs.
- Special Events & Projects:
- Actively coordinate and document company events when necessary.
- Support corporate initiatives, culture-building programs, and key business meetings.
- Support employee recognition programs, client gifts, and branding initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the construction, architecture, or engineering industry.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (O365), SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Experience with proposal writing and business development support.
- Strong graphic design and content creation skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative on projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- APMP certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with GovTribe, SAM.gov, or similar solicitation tools.
- Experience with a CRM, WordPress, Sharepoint Websites.
