Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Armorer to support USASOAC's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

The projected compensation range for this position is $63750 to $106250 (annualized USD). MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Armorer to support USASOAC's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to :
- Provide small arms, optics, and weapon laser systems expertise and maintenance for SOATB and the 160th SOAR. The Contractor shall provide technical expertise on the maintenance of small arms to Soldiers. The Contractor shall maintain accountability of small arms, guard ammunition, and associated ancillary weapon equipment. The Contractor shall analyze current procedures and streamline those procedures to expedite the maintenance of small arms (80 x M4, 115 x M18, 20 x AK47 and assorted optics).
- Manage the Army Aviation Safety Program, ensuring compliance with Army Safety regulations, OSHA, EPA, Hazmat and National Fire Protection Association regulations as well as implementation of the Army's accident prevention procedure and loss control systems. The Contractor shall Assist the Safety Office in aviation and ground safety issues, prepare and conduct training in aviation and ground safety and recommend safety policies and procedures related to aviation and ground training.
- Provide SOATB with current weapon system evaluations and trends that can be expected in the future due to the type of training being conducted. The Contractor shall perform weapon inspections, on-site repairs during range training for students. The Contractor shall conduct gauging after each weapons range training cycle to ensure all weapons are kept at 100% operational capability. In the event of a reduction of SOATB Government personnel, the Contractor shall coordinate for external support, if needed, to ensure repairs are completed timely.

- Minimum of three years experience as a small arms repairer
- Ability to maintain maintenance and accountability records.
