Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Test Conductor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization. This role is a located in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

In this role, the Lead Ground Test Conductor will assist in supporting ground and flight test planning and execution efforts. This role will be responsible for air vehicle system configuration ITPs, coordination of test planning activities with ground systems progressing to full flight test operation ATPs.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Executing grounds system and flight tests as a Test Conductor
  • Developing and maintaining test support materials and mission test profiles
  • Developing and publishing test schedules and test procedures for air vehicle testing
  • Coordinating with other organizations to ensure safe and effective execution of ground and flight test activities
  • Test article configuration management and coordinating the integration of test modifications with air vehicle engineering and manufacturing organizations
  • Participate in test readiness reviews, and pre and post-test briefings
  • Schedule and conduct ground and flight tests in accordance with established test plans and procedures
  • Participate in post-test data evaluation and problem identification and resolution
  • Prepare and publish test summaries and test reports
  • Train other Test Engineers and Specialists as required
  • Travel to test or customer sites as required

Basic Qualifications - Ground Test Conductor:
  • Must have 16 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in aerospace test activities OR an Associate of Science degree and 14 years OR a Bachelor of Science degree and 12 years OR a Master of Science degree and 10 years OR PhD and 8 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in aerospace test activities

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in a test environment
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an applicable engineering discipline (Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, etc.)
  • Four years of relevant experience in air vehicle test operations
  • Experience as an aircraft mechanic and/or FAA A&P Certification
  • Experience as a UAV Test Conductor or Flight Test Engineer
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
