ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Acoustic Trial Director to join our team in Silverdale, WA. This is an onsite position.
As an Acoustic Trial Director, you will play a critical role in planning and executing at-sea acoustic evaluations, leading a team of experts to analyze data and deliver insightful reports. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality in real-time, adapting to evolving objectives, and providing recommendations based on your findings. As an Acoustic Trial Director, you will play a critical role in planning and executing at-sea acoustic evaluations, leading a team of experts to analyze data and deliver insightful reports. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality in real-time, adapting to evolving objectives, and providing recommendations based on your findings. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to vital naval operations and lead a team of professionals in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan and conduct acquisition and analysis of at-sea acoustic evaluations
- Lead a team to completion of analysis and reporting of at-sea results and recommendations
- Ensure data quality in real-time, using personal judgment to determine the best course of action as evaluation objectives evolve
- Prepare written technical reports identifying emergent issues and work with team members to present remediation recommendations
- Collaborate with senior leadership and team members to ensure the effective execution of the evaluation program
- Coordinate with Navy personnel to ensure smooth ship operations aligned with the test and evaluation program agenda
- Manage project timelines and resources to deliver results on schedule
- Assist with maintaining and managing technical documentation, reports, and proposals
- Possess a valid passport with the ability to travel within the United States for meetings and site visits (up to 25%)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited University, preferably in Engineering or Physics
- 5+ years of experience with both submarine and surface ship acoustics
- 3+ years of hands-on, demonstrated experience with navigation and/or piloting safety working with U.S. Uniformed Services ships
- Served as Officer of the Deck (OOD) underway or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with acoustic measurement systems, in-water measurement arrays, hardware interfacing, and software development
- Demonstrated track record of project management in system development and integration
- Strong background in coordinating U.S. Navy ship operations with test and evaluation program agendas
- Familiarity with signal processing and data analysis for acoustic evaluations
- Proven ability to adapt to changing requirements and successfully deliver on project objectives
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance prior to starting this position
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time while working at a computer or other office equipment
- Ability to move around the office to access files, equipment, and attend meetings
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
- Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information
