BreakPoint Labs is seeking a skilled Oracle APEX Developer to lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise applications built on Oracle application Express (APEX). This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to guide teams in best practices for Oracle APEX Development.
Responsibilities include:
- Conversion/migration of Oracle Reports and Forms to Oracle APEX.
- Design, coding and unit testing of converted/migrated forms.
- Providing expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of Oracle Reports and Forms to Oracle APEX.
- Using expertise to design/develop, code, test, and debug software.
- Working with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.
- Providing analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
- Performing tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques.
- Confirming design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.
- Basic design, build or maintenance of software, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools and digital media.
- Identifying and correcting problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback.
- Evaluating code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards, and is compatible with devices or operation systems.
- Developing and maintaining applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) version 19 or higher.
- Working with REST-based web services and having a solid understanding of Oracle application configuration and database object modeling.
- Analyzing and refactoring existing code to improve performance, functionality, and maintainability.
- Demonstrating proficiency with Oracle databases, PL/SQL packages, functions, and stored procedures.
- Utilizing JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, and CSS in application development.
- Working with REST-based web services and understand Oracle application configuration.
- The successful candidate will support the application of best practices, program standards, and conventions throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX development.
- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database design.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery for frontend customization.
- Knowledge of RESTful web services and Oracle ORDS.
- Proven ability to design and develop interactive reports, dashboards, and workflows within APEX.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Certifications Required: Certifications IAT Level II AND Oracle APEX certification and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
