Organizational System Strategy Consultant
The Opportunity:
We need somebody that is passionate about helping organizations develop effective strategies and work practices. They need to be driven to analyze organizational challenges, uncover underlying mechanisms, and support the development of proprietary strategy frameworks. Using client data from interviews, observations, and research, they will need to generate models and recommendations for strategy development, problem-solving, opportunity capture, program planning, and organizational transformation. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on strategy for federal defense programs. The government organizations behind these programs need support developing new technologies and services amid complex and legacy systems. We support them in capturing and aligning their visions, objectives, and practices into cohesive strategy that clearly defines how they generate value.
As an Organizational System Strategy Consult ant, you will collect primary and sec ond ary data about the client's opportunities, directives, mission, and current strategy. You will translate that data into tractable strategy models, actionable recommendations, and useful reports. You will deliver your findings and recommendations to your team and client leaders. You will support developing the strategy tools and frameworks we use.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 2+ years of experience with strategy development for clients
- Experience executing interview-based data collection
- Experience capturing and synthesizing notes from interviews and observation
- Experience building presentations in PowerPoint
- Experience executing independently on defined objectives
- Knowledge of models of organization strategy and processes
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- 4+ years of experience working in a professional environment
- 3+ years of experience with strategy development for clients
- Experience building models of organization strategy and processes, espe cia lly those focused on entrepreneurship and innovation
- Experience leading interviews and meetings with senior leadership, building and executing surveys, and converting loosely structured, qualitative data into structured models
- Experience reviewing qualitative data about an organization's activities, objectives, and opportunities, and capturing themes from it
- Experience communicating about strategy and program development with cross-functional technical experts, making and giving cogent presentations of your findings to leaders and decision-makers, and facilitating strategy development activities such as offsites or annual planning
- Experience with mapping tools such as Lucid Chart, Mural, and Micro sof t Visio
- Knowledge of principles of organization theory
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Completion of Strategy Development Processes, Organization Theory, or related Training
