Senior Information Security Engineer

Amentum is now hiring for a Senior Information Security Engineer in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and communicate organizational security policies, standards, and best practices to protect sensitive information and safeguard the computer networks, systems, and data.
• Research emerging threats and recommend software and hardware solutions and procedures and security enhancements that neutralize those threats.
• Analyze and enhance security controls throughout the company, its products, and its data stores.
• Design, establish, and execute company security strategies.
• Install and use software to protect an organization's sensitive information.
• Assist computer users with installation or processing of new security products and procedures.
• Document, review, maintain, and edit security best practices and policies.
• Communicate and collaborate with IT team to maintain equipment and optimize security of system architecture.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor's of Science degree.
• CompTIA Security+, A+, Linux+, MCP, MCTS certification required.
• Minimum of 9 years' experience. Will accept 5 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have an Active TOP SECRET/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance.
