Leidos Digital Modernization Sector in Windsor Mill, MD in support of the End User Centric IT Support (ECIS) Contract for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is looking to improve and advance the organization. Our program is focused on the delivery of end-user centric IT technology solution to our customer CMS where we are challenged to provide ongoing innovative and seamless experience while using CMS systems, applications and solutions, provide proactive secure development of IT integrations, concepts, and designs across the CMS enterprise and integrate end-user computing devices, conference room technology, infrastructure hardware and software, and user applications into a streamlined and seamless experience across the CMS user base. We foster a positive end-user experience while ensuring protection of the data.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work within an ITIL environment. The position is a highly customer focused environment to provide Apple Mac OS Engineering and proactive Administration support for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) End User environment. As an integral part of our IT department, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and support of Apple Mac endpoints across the organization. Your expertise will ensure a seamless and secure user experience for our employees, enhancing productivity and innovation.
The candidate may need to deliver presentations and produce well-written technical documents tailored to the customer's environment and objectives. Participation in scrum sprint activities related to Apple Mac OS solutions as required.
Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and collaborating with other technical functional groups such as Service Desk, Datacom, EUA, Security, and Engineering Teams for all supported technical issues. Other duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
Basic Qualifications
MINIMUM requirements to be considered for the position is a BS degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 2 – 6years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of BS Degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher security Clearance.
All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
Pay Range: Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Apple Mac endpoints.
- Implement endpoint security measures, including encryption and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Provide expert-level support for Mac users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
- Facilitate the integration of Mac endpoints with other enterprise systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation and efficient system management.
- Monitor the performance and health of Mac endpoints, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
- Generate regular reports on endpoint status, usage, and security compliance.
- Conduct audits and assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure processes defined in Endpoint Operations are being both implemented and followed.
- Manage and work on continuous improvement of the deployment, testing, maintenance, support, and upgrade processes of end point hardware and software.
- Help identify areas of improvement not limited to technology but will include processes within existing Leidos engagement and define roadmaps to achieve improvement mainly in the Apple Mac Engineering space.
- Work closely with management to help guide the team with a customer focus approach and an ability to work as part of one or more cross functional team(s) supporting various new technology insertions supporting the CMS and Leidos missions.
Basic Qualifications

- Proven experience in managing Apple Mac endpoints in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of macOS, Apple hardware, and related technologies.
- Strong leadership experience.
- Expertise in macOS solution designs, technical documents, and diagrams of systems for assigned projects.
- Strong Mac engineering focus on packaging and distribution technologies.
- Expertise in JAMF Pro administration, profile management, and configuration.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory Group/Users/Computers.
- Proficiency with Windows 11, Microsoft 365 Apps, and Office for Mac.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure services: DNS, WINS, DHCP, VPN.
- Understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of customer organization (technical resources, management).
- Strong organization skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and willingness to go the extra mile in a fast-paced environment to service the customer with a positive attitude.
- Ability to develop concise and accurate engineering documentation and work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
- Champion a collaborative culture, sharing knowledge and fostering innovation.
- Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies, regularly analyzing and evaluating their impact and benefit to the customer by providing recommendations to management.
