Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting any paperwork on criminal intelligence for use by criminal investigators; performing duties of assisting the preparation of military police reports, police blotters and other associated police and emergency response reports; conducting administrative work such as entering incidents, traffic tickets, and other operational documents into the Army Law Enforcement Reporting and Tracking System (ALERTS) daily, etc. Assist preparing Criminal Intelligence Reports from information received from various investigative agencies or outside sources for distribution to other DES and United States Army Criminal Investigation Division Command (USACIDC) elements. Assist in a variety of strategic, tactical, and administrative duties relating to the systematic process of collecting and analyzing information that describes crime patterns, crimetrends, and potential criminal activity and targets.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

- Implements the Police Intelligence Program for the Directorate which plans, collects, evaluates, collates, analyzes, reports, disseminates, and reevaluates criminal intelligence for use by criminal investigators.

- Conducts a wide range of analyses in database information and produces output.

- Responsible for the integration of the Installation force protection program with its investigative and criminal intelligence management programs.
- Makes determinations concerning acquisition, maintenance, and release of criminal intelligence information, responsible for periodic training sessions.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the work of the Police Administrative Section.
- Oversees the work of the administrative section performing the following duties: entering incidents, traffic tickets, and other operational documents into the Army Law Enforcement Reporting and Tracking System (ALERTS) daily.
- Maintaining Military Police records IAW AR 190-45.
- Serves as the DES Terminal Security Officer (TSO).
- Serves as 1st line supervisor, responsible to plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Interviews candidates for positions and recommends appointment, promotion; hears and resolves complaints from employees and refers group grievances and more serious complaints to a higher-level supervisor.

***ROK entry requirements***
Beginning April 1 2023, the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization, or K-ETA, is temporarily exempted for 22 countries until Dec. 31, 2025. The United States is included in this exemption. Travelers can still apply for a K-ETA and pay the 10,000 Korean Won fee (about $9) per person if they wish; those who have a K-ETA will not have to submit an arrival card at the port of entry. Those who got their K-ETA approval already can use it until it expires. No refund will be made for people who have already submitted a K-ETA application.
