Job Title: Software Engineer (Hybrid)
Location: Lexington, MA
Job Type: W2 Contract
Background/Need:
The Group develops, builds, and operates prototype space and airborne lasercom terminals. The technology and the lessons learned from these activities are transferred to operational programs through gold-standard test infrastructure.
Must Have:
-Looking for a minimum of 2 years workplace experience (post-graduate)
-Scripting/coding in several languages: Python, C, C++, Java
-Experience interfacing with hardware
-Experience with Version Control (SVN or Git)
-Experience developing in a Unix environment
-Familiarity with Object-oriented code design principles
-Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (VxWorks experience preferable)
-Experience applying statistical concepts to data analysis
-Experience in test automation
-Experience designing automated test infrastructure for requirement verification
-Candidate must possess good communications skills: willingness to listen to the needs of engineers and the ability to articulate solutions to engineers in other disciplines. Candidates must be eager to learn new tools to support the testing needs.
Nice to Have:
-Experience using issue tracking tools (JIRA or similar) desired.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's plus 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
