The Materials Engineering department is looking for a full-time Integrated Product Team (IPT) Engineering Lead, located in Andover MA. This is an onsite role.
The Missile sub-Integrated Product Team (IPT) Engineering Lead for the Patriot Product Line, with a focus on Aft body and All-Up Round (AUR), will be directly responsible for technical execution of the hardware design and development, materials design selection and obsolescence resolution, production and reliability analysis support, fielding, and sustainment of the Patriot Missile Aft body and AUR hardware for multiple ongoing and expected contracts, both domestic and international. The MPE IPT engineering lead will work alongside the Ordnance and All-Up Round (AUR) sub-IPT Leads and will be responsible for establishing/maintaining an effective relationship with customer counterparts in the USG including applicable technical leads with Patriot acquisition oversight responsibility. Strong demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills are required to help drive and maintain product line goals and objectives. Collaboration with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, subject matter experts, and supplier partners is required. A candidate must be able to manage and coordinate a wide variety of simultaneous tasks within schedule constraints.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

What You Will Do:
- Maintain product integrity to facilitate production contract execution and goals to align with product line and multiple Programs/Customers
- Working closely with design personnel in the selection and approval of new and updates to design. Engage Subject Matter Experts in various disciplines to provide a robust design solution.
- Supporting product manufacturing schedule and supplier oversight activities
- Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the sub-IPTs and other functions to meet technical requirements
- Technical point of contact working the Office of Chief Engineer, customer counterparts, internal senior program management and engineering leadership
- Providing evaluation and resolution to technical, operational, and supplier problems
- Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities, and other continuous improvement efforts
- Participate in analysis and documentation of technical positions for alternate materials, obsolescence, and failure analysis
- Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product compliance
- Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 14+ years of experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience
- Experience in working on the Patriot Air Defense System, specifically the GEM-T Missile Product Line
- Experience with leading teams of various technical disciplines.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience working on programs, projects, or products associated with the Defense Industry
- Experience working with engineering drawings, industry established specifications, process routers, etc.
- Experience as a technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, Integrated Product Team, quality and /or supply chain organizations
- Demonstrated experience across the product lifecycle, including concept development, architecture, design, integration, verification, and production.
- Experience related to Material Review Boards, Material and Process Change Boards, Risk Boards, and Engineering Review Boards
- Experience with project milestones such as preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews
- Earned Valued certification or experience
- Ability to write concise technical reports summarizing analyses and providing technical resolution to complex issues
- Demonstrated ability to lead and complete scientific based projects including failure analysis and obsolescence investigations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, planning and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
