Business Process Specialist
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Snowcreek Consulting is seeking a Business Process Subject Matter Specialist for a fully
remote position supporting Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Program Executive Office (PEO).
This position requires an Active DoD Secret security clearance and is contingent on the
successful win of the DLA PEO contract; award is expected late April 2025.
The DLA J62 PEO manages IT solutions for the DLA user community, a support organization
for the warfighter. This role serves as a Business Process Specialist with five years of
experience in high-level functional IT systems analysis and troubleshooting. The role will involve
consultative engagement with the Task Order Project Manager to capture required support
activities and develop realistic and time-bound plans for delivery of business process
improvements.
NOTE: This position has been designated by the government as Key Personnel; applicants
interested in applying for this position should understand that the government must approve the
Program Manager’s hiring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the
planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and
operational environments supporting the preparation, revision, and/or update of
products and documents that support acquisition packages.
Perform high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and
provide implementation advice on complex problems implementation.
Apply knowledge of standard logistics functions (e.g., finance, supply, contract
administration, transportation and operations research) to improve processes
Use a consultative, customer-focused, team-oriented approach to finding solutions to
customer challenges/needs
EDUCATION:
Five years of total work experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but additional years
of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active DoD SECRET security clearance
Business process management certification required at time of hire. Examples of
accepted certifications include ITIL v4, Six Sigma Black Belt, CBPP.
Minimum of five years of experience
, Familiarity with key DoD/Component standards (both DLMS and legacy formats) in
support of Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP), Military
Standard Transaction Reporting and Accountability Procedures (MILSTRAP), Military
Standard Billing System (MILSBILLS), Supply Discrepancy Reporting (SDR) and Web
SDR, DoD Activity Address Directory (DoDAAD)/ Military Assistance Program Address
Directory (MAPAD), Logistics Metrics Analysis Reporting System (LMARS), Physical
Inventory, federal cataloging data standards, materiel technical data standards, and
transaction
Comfortable asking questions of technical experts to clarify or confirm understanding
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented; able to parse and organize information in a clear and direct manner
Have a flexibility in perspective when approaching unfamiliar work scenarios; ability to
think on their feet and respond professionally
Demonstrated success in multi-tasking, self-assigning work, and functioning in a
dynamic, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated success working with technical leads and subject matter experts to
understand and define processes
