Strategos seeking an engineering opportunity in support of the Naval War College (NWC) and its components as they relate to their mission of Professional Military Education, Joint Professional Military Education, help the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) define the future Navy, its missions and roles, support combat readiness, and strengthen maritime security cooperation.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Management and administration of processes and tools to identify, document, and access intellectual capital and information content.
• Manage and administer integrated methods to identify, capture, catalog, classify, retrieve, and share intellectual capital and information content.
• Apply methods utilizing processes and tools (e.g., databases, documents, policies, procedures) and expertise pertaining to the organization.
Required Job Experience:
• Develop, support and maintain external and internal web sites, applications, and databases.
• Requirements gathering and interaction with program managers and subject matter experts.
• Write documentation, functional specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Develop and improve products with customer feedback (prototypes, demos, beta).
• Create, update, maintain, migrate web sites, applications and databases.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot web and database servers.
• Face-to-face customer service, incident resolution, and external web site support through Cloud Hosted content management system, Microsoft SharePoint, and digital publication and Institutional Repository though BePress/Digital Commons.
• JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, and CSS3 Web Programming Skills.
• Teamwork and verbal communication.
• Cross-browser compatibility, 508 compliance, and Web User Interface Design (UI).
• Application Programming Interfaces.
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Photoshop.
• Expertise in editing and proofreading following specific style guidelines.
• Indexing, cataloguing, storage, and access of hard copy documents and digital files.
• Construct access paths to suites of information to facilitate access by end-users.
• Personally Identifiable Information data security standards.
• Information classification program and procedures for information compromise.
• Cybersecurity principles, threats and vulnerabilities.
• Capabilities of content creation technologies (e.g., Dot Net Nuke, Wikis, social media, blogs)
• Organizing and managing information (e.g., databases, bookmarking), and collaborative technologies (e.g., groupware, SharePoint).
• Cloud computing service models Software as Service, Infrastructure as a Service, and Platform as a Service (PaaS) in private, public, and hybrid on and off premise environments.
Degree (Required or certifications below can be substituted in lieu of):
• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
Certification (Preferred one of the following in lieu of Required Degree):
• NAVEDTRA 43360-2 - Information Professional (IP) Basic, Intermediate or Professional
• CompTIA Security+
• Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
