Sr. Aerospace Engineer - Redondo Beach -
Description -
Collaborates directly with engineering to construct complex models and test articles to exacting tolerances per the Requesting Engineers direction.
Build wind tunnel models/test articles to support AERO system development and design.
Provide specialized parts and hardware to facilitate test and evaluation of prototype articles.
Responsible for quality and integrity of fabricated components associated with technology development, test and verification.
Supports test execution requirements associated with the models.
Travel to various test site locations and support the Responsible Engineers testing efforts.
Extensive knowledge in specialized functions related to the building and testing of models.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and blueprints.
Communication with supporting organizations and individuals is routine.
Primarily bench work and running conventional machines.
Bench work includes fitting and scrubbing model parts, running instrumentation and assembling models.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diplomas/GED and 10 years’ experience with general shop fabrication and conventional machining processes.
Conventional machining skills, part fit up, assembly
The Candidate must currently have or meet the requirements for a DOD security clearance and be able to be approved for individual SAR programs.
